After 20 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act becoming law, a new Accessibility design guideline has been adopted! With this change to the design guidelines, Marcela Abadi Rhoads, AIA RAS has written a book "The ADA Companion Guide" published by John Wiley and Sons. It is all about the changes and how it applies to our new buildings and existing buildings. These guidelines are made so that all public buildings can be accessed by people with disabilities. It is an exciting time and we want to celebrate this achievement.
